Ya Joel Sherman even confirmed it. Says only reason Cubs won't announce it as to not draw ire of MLB for upstaging Game 7.

Though MLB will likely be pissed anyways at the Cubs for this leaking.

Either way Cubs have the best manager in baseball to join the best front office (in my opinion). It's a team that currently has what many publications rank as the best farm system. Going to be really fun as a Cubs fan, soon.

Well, I can tell you from experience he will give you everything he's got and sometimes he will pull it out of his behind. He's unconventional a good majority of the time...........try to go with it.

Renteria wasn't awful. The only gripe I had with him was the lineups. And maybe how much he used Brian Schlitter. Otherwise it seemed that the young guys played hard for him.

If Norv Turner walking the sidelines and not making an impact on the game didn't hold the Chargers back from their "success", then by the same token, Joe Maddon shouldn't be paid $5 million a year even if Rick Renteria is as inferior of a manager to Maddon as fans may make him out to be?

Who said Norv had no impact on the Chargers? It certainly wasn't me.

I believe the debate from 7 years ago that you are needlessly digging up while misrepresenting what I said was the one where I said Norv wouldn't hold them back enough to keep them from making the playoffs. I recall you wearing a Norv Turner sig for a year after being wrong.
