hey joe... you know what the worst part about using betances in the 8th and robertson in the 9th is? you cant bring betances back in after robertson walks the leadoff guy on 4 pitches.

I knew the transition would suck but before I cut that everyone save a few mismanaged teams routinely had 100s of millions in FA money. I felt it was good for the league for finances to actually matter. Anaheim did get a few yearly boosts with the grandfathering of the contracts, but I guess it still hurt them overall.

I think that it was a good move. Still do. It needed to happen otherwise everyone would be Maching in free agency.

You've got to hand it to the McCarthy, he only went 5 2/3 but struck out people whenever he needed to to avoid a big inning. And then the pen shut them down.

i hate to jinx it, but even outside of dellin, the pen is pretty good. still not fond of how joe uses it a lot, but thats been a yankee staple for years.
