I was at the US-Japan game. It was pretty sweet, but our relievers almost gave the game away. Japan lost an easy run when a runner on third left the base too early on a flyout.

We all wanted Griffey to win the game, not Rodriguez. Oh well, this is payback for Pearl Harbor.

Also, the Japanese players are microscopic.

I'm sure Junior would have won it if the game was of no importance.
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?

Honestly, Ichiro may have been the largest Japanese player.

Replay showed that he did leave third on time on time. I was watching it with no sound, did the secondbase umpire over-rule the home plate umpire? Or was it the other way around?

From what I could tell, I believe whoever's call it's supposed to be got overruled, which caused a big stir. It took the crew a while to figure out what they were going to do. They didn't replay it on the big screen at the game.

Yes! Video of the replay. The Japanese commentators are going nuts, it seems.

7-0 Dominicans over Cuba after 6 innings. Odalis Perez with a solid outing and David Ortiz has hit a homerun, also drew a bases-loaded RBI walk.

Korea with 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning off Dontrelle Willis. Ouch. He hasn't pitched well at all.

    Nice at-bat for A-Rod...

    Pitch 1 - Swinging Strike
    Pitch 2 - Swinging Strike
    Pitch 3 - Swinging Strike

Alex Rodriguez strikes out swinging. All pitches down the middle of the plate!
