NO sir!
NO sir!
I had to go with the Rangers in 6. The Rangers lineup is way more intimidating than the Giants, and I don't see SF beating Cliff Lee. I think the Rangers may not have a Matt Cain behind their ace, but I think they end up getting it done.
....Crap, I just realized that I'm predicting ex-Mets Darren Oliver and Jeff Francoeur (and ex-almost-Met Benji Molina) to win World Series rings. That's a little upsetting.
Frenchy predicted the Giants to go to the World Series after the All Star break while with the Mets
i see your ex Mets and your Cody Ross and I raise you possibly having to watch Bruce Bochy win a championship in another uniform 9 months after watching Drew Brees do the same.
Pierzynski picked the Giants in 6 just to kiss a little ass
Ex is an ex, if you were together for 1 day or 1 year, they are still considered an ex.
Anyways Aaron Boone picked the Giants in 6, Showalter picked TX in 5, Singleton picked TX in 6
Kruk, after all the excuses he made for the Phillies losing, picked the Giants to win in seven
Oliver had the best year of his career to that point with the Mets in 2006. He also basically resurrected his career after not pitching in 2005. Also, he was the anchor of a very good bullpen that year, as the Mets went to Game 7 of the NLCS and nearly a World Series appearance.
I dunno, I guess if you consider him having started out with the Dodgers, I get it a little bit more, but it's not like Cody NEARLY played in a WS for you, before playing in one for another team.
Mofo is just being a baby. Let him be.
If you're arguing that letting Darren Oliver go after he resurrected his career was a bigger mistake, then your point is taken.
I guess for me, Cody Ross' F.U. to the Dodgers is analogous to how John Leguizamo's character "repaid" Al Pacino's for having spared his life and letting him free in "Carlito's Way." ("Hey, remember me? Benny Blanco from the Bronx?")
