    Phillies J.C. Romero Suspended 50 Games

    From the looks of it, Romero is getting ****ed over by MLB. Not only that, the Phillies are too. If this does indeed go down, the Phillies will be without a key piece to their bullpen for 50 games. They will already be without Chase Utley to begin the year so this adds to the Phillies troubles. MLB needs to look at the breakdown in communication here and get something resolved. Either reduce the sentence to 25 games or nix the suspension altogether.

    After reading the article, I'm more confused than I was before. If there's nothing wrong with the suppliment, why is he being suspended? I'm so lost. Apparently Romero is too...

    From my understanding MLB suspended him 50 games because they could...seems like total crap to me

    Here is a suggestion for the commissioner's office -- sell all supplements to players that wish to use them, or at least give specifics to people that do sell them. Have them checked out completely to be sure they are acceptible. The manufacturers will put in them only what MLB specifies.
    Anything that carries an MLB certified sticker is OK to use. Anything that does not is subject to testing.

    From what I understand, there IS something wrong with the supplement. The problem is that they originally SAID there wasn't. So, technically, it's the fault of MLB Players Association for not giving correct information about the legality of the supplement. It sucks for Romero, but if the supplement had chemicals that are banned by MLB, he has to be banned. He can probably sue the MLBPA over the negligence though. Also, it seems stupid that he wouldn't take the offer of a reduced suspension...
