    And we have a winner.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Plus Pujols hit .397 w/RISP to Howard's .256!! You replace Howard with Pujols in that Phillies lineup and you;re looking at a WS. Oh wait, Pujols got that anyway!!! Thank you, come again!
Who was the best person in the 2nd half of the season down the stretch. It wasn't Pujols. It was Howard. His numbers was better. I can't defend his 1st half because they were much lower. We can also assume the pitching will still hold down Pujols in that same lineup. And how much better was Pujols with RISP, when the team only won 83 games. Was Pujols that much better that he makes the Phillies a 90 win team? I don't think so. The Phillies didn't have Carpenter either or any starting pitching for that matter. Also, that year Howard hit just as good in Busch compared to Citzens Bank. You think Pujols would help Leiber, Lidle, Gavin Floyd pitch at all. They had to rely on Jamie Moyer for their rotation.

How much better was Pujols w/RISP? How about .141 points better. 83 games goes to the team. Again, the Phillies had a much better lineup. Pujols was the better player ALL SEASON LONG, not just one half. Look at Pujols' September too. It was a MONSTER. Pujols had no protection. Its not even close. Pujols was better in every aspect of the game except he didn't play in a tiny park and could hit as many homeruns. Pujols' best season was just wasted. I love how you left out Cole Hammels and Brett Myers. The Phillies only won two more games than the Cards so that's hardly a big deal. Pujols carried the Cards to the postseason. You asked how Pujols was better and boy I showed ya!!

Albert Pujols was better than Ryan Howard five years ago. Albert Pujols is better than Ryan Howard right now. Albert Pujols will be better than Ryan Howard in five years.

Yeah Fat Albert had a monster Sept./Oct. but Ryan Howard was better. But imagine if he had a better 1st half.

Edit: If the Phillies were in the that s*itty division that was the Central that year they would have made the playoffs too.

Let it be known that Albert Pujols is the better player. But to say a guy that had the year that Howard had in 2006 didn't deserve it, is beyond me and that is my argument. Both were deserving but I still think the right person won that year.

Well, to be fair, Howard also cost his team at least 5 games with his defense. He made 14 Errors at 1B that year compared to Pujols' 6.

We can imagine all day but the fact remains Pujols was the best player that year, the whole year. Howard was deserving, Pujols just more so.

Your point was that Pujols was robbed? I though that was my point? Again, you can have Howard all day long. I will take 20 other players far better than Howard. Can't believe SI said he was one of the top five players to build around. Just retarded.

Howard is at 194 strikeouts with only 6 games left. Can he get it done?

1 strikeout tonight for Howard! That's 195 with 5 games to go. He's on pace. One per day and we're there.

Re: Ryan Howard is approaching 200 strikeouts.

While no one noticed, Mark Reynolds of the Dbags passed Ryan Howard and struck out for the 199th time yesterday, tying the major league record.
