the fan vote is just as biased most of the time. Just let the managers and players decide it.
the PLAYERS were the ones who picked Tek to get into the allstar game. so take your complaints to them, not the managers (who only get to pick 4 or 5 players nowadays)

They don't need to get rid of it.
It's the only all star game in the 4 major sports that's somewhat entertaining.
They just need to alter how the rosters are selected.

no, they need to get rid of it. it's an embarrassment how it turns out every year. too many undeserving players make it.
Can't get rid of the All Star game. And I seriously doubt the players were dumb enough to select Varitek even though most players do hate Pierzynski. I am sure Francona picked his own guy to go.
