The classy Cards fans should respect a great hitter! It's one thing for Yankee fans to do it after seeing him so much (and really, I expect as much of Yankee fans as I do of Sox fans), but if the Cards fans want this perfect reputation as the best fans in the game, don't boo a guy when he owns your pitcher. Boo Renteria, that's fine with me, but no reason to boo Ortiz.

I am pretty sure Cards fans boo the other team. I have hard time believing that they don't boo the Cubs.
Twins fans rarely boo at all. They basically cheer or sit at their hands.
Was Renteria booed? I don't think he was cheered or booed.
Renteria was booed for about 10 seconds then the cheers overpowered the boos for a standing ovation. He was both. If I were them, I'd boo Renteria. He went for the money.
I just don't want to hear the crap about the classiest fans in baseball when they boo players for being good. They don't cross the line like some fans, but they aren't God's gift to baseball either.

I never hear much about Stl fans being the classiest fans in baseball by the media or anything. Besides Stl fans show me how much they know baseball by moaning and whining about LaRussa on FSN Midwest's Midwest Sports Report every night after the game.
