Interleague plays returns on Friday, but only for one series. It's a little three-game teaser with the bulk of the interleague games happening in mid-June. Anything interesting on the schedule?
We have of course the geographical rivalries:
- Yankees vs Mets
- Nationals vs Orioles
- Indians vs Reds
- Rangers vs Astros
- Dodgers vs Angels
But of course Major League Baseball mixed it up a bit for the rest, and we get matchups that we've seldom seen before.
- Rays vs Cards - wtf?
- Marlins vs Royals - these two should have been switched together
- Tigers vs Diamondbacks - interesting
- Brewers vs Red Sox - battle of the fat guys!
- Blue Jays vs Phillies - eh...
- A's vs Braves - totally out of nowhere
- Twins vs Rockies - uninteresting
- White Sox vs Giants - also uninteresting
Of course, the Pirates and Cubs play each other and get spared from any interleague games until June. Lucky?
