Thread: Baseball Question Thread

I don't see it. Yes, they have superb pitching, but without getting another Beltran type player and an anemic offense in what is arguably an even better NL Central than last year (outside of them), it's doubtful.

Who are the best three hitters on the Royals?

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Teahen, Buck, and maybe Angel Berroa. Either Berroa or Harvey.

No, the Astros are done for the year. Wouldn't surprise me to see both Clemens and Pettitte gone by the end of July, too.

The Nationals are first in the NL East, any chance of them winning the division?

The Pads are the class of the NL West. I think they will run away with the divison if they just stay healthy. They will trade for another SP to help Peavy and Eaton. If they get that they will probably make the LCS.

    Toronto will finish above .500?

Cubs. For whatever reason, I still think the Astros will finish second and fall short in the wild-card race.

Will Mel Stottlymyre be the Yankees pitching coach next week?

AL-Brian Roberts--the man is the key to that team's success at the top of the order
NL-Derrek Lee--Hard to go against the Triple Crown leader plus he is carrying an ailing Cubs team

How many games do the Yanks win? 70-80, 80-90, 90+?

90 Games and miss the playoffs.

Will we see a no-hitter this year? Who?

Brad Radke-The guy has more wins than walks. So does Silva but I find Radke to be better.

    Which manager gets fired first?

    Dusty Baker.

Good question. Either Damon or Matsui. I am guessing it's Johnny Damon. Steinbrenner wants to sign big-name players especially if they play for Boston or the Mets so I figure he would go after Damon.

Will the Mariners be a factor in the AL West? As bad as they have played, they are still in it.

Yeah, definitely. Maybe not as a contender, but they can definitely play spoiler at the end of the year.
