I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
I think the Marlins will be good in 2-3 years. But they will take their lumps this season.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
In 2-3 years they'll be ready to dump Uggla, Willingham, and Hermida
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
The 2074 MSL NL Gold Glove Recipient at Third Base.
well they have to win a WS before that happens lol.

I think it's funny how Dry pretty much predicted an almost exact duplicate of the 2007 season for the NL

The Rockies in fourth place? Even after you had declared them as the better team between them and the Padres?
I think you missed the portion of the referenced discussion where I was talking about last year.

That being said, 4th place in the NL West is kinda deceiving.
I think every team in the NL West is going to be super competitive this year and be in the race till the very end, with the exception of the Giants.

It was convenient timing after the Rockies eliminated the Padres for you and your fellow SD fans to praise the Rockies as though you believed that they were the better team all along. And now, you hang a U-turn and tab the Padres as three better than the Rockies, even though all the Rockies lost were Josh Fogg, Latroy Hawkins, and Kazuo Matsui.
Regardless of your opinion on what makes one team better than another for any particular year, you're still overlooking the fact that that's last year (as opposed to these 2008 season predictions)
It's a new season, every player is a year older, last year's rookies have a year of experience under their belt (I don't expect Kouzmanoff to start the first two months with a .100 average this year) and the rosters are a bit different.
The Padres have a new center fielder, most likely a new left fielder as well, a new 2nd baseman, and 2/5ths of their starting rotation is different.
Whether or not these changes make them better or worse remains to be seen, but the point is they're not going to be the exact same team they were last year.
(and, as I openly admitted, I was being a homer with my picks.)
If last year's outcome determined who's better than who they may as well just cancel all the games and declare the Rockies NL champs right now.

Yes, players change and teams change year in and year out. I understand all that. But it is also my understanding that you're basically backing away from your argument that the Rockies are better than every other team in the West and now calling them a fluke.
