I know I'm jumping to conclusions here but, if Bonds is found guilty what would you guys consider the worst baseball scandal/controversy in baseball history?
Black Sox
Pete Rose's Gambling
756*

Tennessee Titans. Duke athletics. New York Yankees. Carolina Hurricanes. Portland Trailblazers.
Milwaukee Brewers MSL GM
I would consider the fixing of the World Series a little worse.
Other- Ruth using a cork bat.
^ Idiot.
Rose. That was and is ridiculous.
The Black Sox Scandal is the worst, IMO. You are talking about intentionally fixing games for monetary gain there. I'd rank Bonds 2nd if he's found guilty, because he was cheating that had a direct effect on the games he played in. Pete Rose's gambling may have had some effect on games, but unless he was telling his players to throw games, then his effect was very minimal. I still don't want to see Barry or Pete in the Hall!!!!!
Black Sox, definitely
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
No doubt, BlackSox. They were considered one of the best teams ever and they just gave the Reds a chamionpship. Thank God there was a man named Babe Ruth to revive baseball and help people forget that awful scandal. Who will be the savior now after Bonds being indicted.
Other-Sammy Sosa using a corked bat.
No Chris Sabo corked bat? Howard Johnson?
I picked the Black Sox, but all 3 choices were great picks. I really wanted to pick 756*, but I just had to be honest with my choice and not with my emotions.
Black Sox. That hit at the very core of the game. And it wasn't a individuals decision, but basically 1/3 of the team.
Black Sox scandal and the throwing of the World Series has to be the tops. The World Series is the pinacle of the game and it was made a mockery of that season.

That's a bold statement right there. I respectively disagree.
Nothing compares to allowing gamblers to dictate the outcome of a series. I have no problem with players betting on which one will end up with the best season, just between themselves, but to throw a WS is the worst thing that could happen.
Performance enhancing drugs allowed the game to be more entertaining for the fans, and the best teams still won the series. I think they give some players unfair advantages, but they do not tarnish the game as much as the Black Sox scandal did.
