6 shut out innings for Baker! Keep it up. Bonderman pitch count is in the mid 90's he won't last much longer.

Arizona gm - MSL
Good to see Baker is pitching well though. Can we get some runs?

One day Inge will be strolling through the Providence area to find Prov walking up to him with a real cocky stride and a push at the shoulders.
Prov: "Hey Inge, yeah I am talking to you guy. I have a bone to pick with you."
Inge: "Uh, excuse me?"
Prov: "Yeah, that's right, I don't like your face. What do you have to say to that tough guy."

Anything you can do, I can do better...7 SHO innings for Bonderman
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
I like Hunter and all, but this has contract year green inspiration all over it. Given the market, some team is really going to come to regret the deal they give him if they expect this performance year in and year out.

I have to run out real quick...I'll be back soon. Go !!!
I honestly don't buy into this theory as much as other people do. Why would somebody not play hard in a non-contract year, or not play as hard?...it would make perfect sense to play just as hard in non-contract years to prove yourself as a consistent comoddity. I actually have a book that covers a lot of interesting/obscure baseball topics and it did a study on this and said there was no conclusive evidence that guys got better in a contract year...I need to go check out the name of that book.

Tough hop for Bartlett, Polanco leads off by getting to first with a probable E-6.

I don't believe it in all cases, but I believe it here. I am not saying I believe in the nobody going to a somebody, just because of a contract year but giving that extra motivating force. Be it playoff contention, a big moment of the world series or yes, money, I think it can summon some sort of extra effort to bring them over the top. Hunter is a fine player and its not going to be play like garbage no matter where he lands, but I don't think this level of production for 2007 will hold over to 2008.
I got my hat ready with fork and knife in hand, just in case though.

Tigers are threatening with 1 out and 2 on. Here we go...
Magglio has been taking such good cuts this season. Driving that pitch up the middle like that is a great showing of this season versus some of his more off seasons (but how much those were due to injury is another story.)

Maggs has serious game this year.
The Tigers couldn't get it done. Still tied at zeros.
