And your 2006 NL Cy Young winner... Brandon Webb.

    Saw this on Rotoworld.

Received 15 of the 32 first place votes to take it home. Trevor Hoffman astonishingly finished second (whaaaat) and he got TWELVE first place votes. Carpenter third.

Humorously, Takashi Saito got a vote and one point.

I don't think anyone predicted Carpenter so why does he have to suck it? Everyone pretty much thought it was going to be Webb or Oswalt. Congrats to the Kentucky boy!

Insane GB% FTW? It seems that way. I am truthfully surprised that Webb won it versus the voters totally messing things up. Because the pattern has been if the best player didn't have the most wins by a majority, it's like these voters were just mindlessly walking into a wall over and over again.

    Congrats BWebb.

The Cy Young voters should have just withheld the award when the best anyone did was to be mediocre. The Cy young winner should be someone who was dominant and Webb was only mediocre. I mean an 8-8 record down the stretch is not exactly lights out.

Hoffman may have been the only NL pitcher who even approached dominant and if not for an All Star game blown save and 2 bad games in succession after the break he would have been a shoe in with Webb, Carpenter, et al having such lukewarm seasons.
