    If your team is not in the playoffs... who are you rooting for?

    Not neccesarily who you think will win, but who you would like to win if you're a fan of one of the 22 teams who have been sent home.

    AL Pick: Oakland A's (The Big Hurt+Exciting Pitchers+Beane=Win)
    NL Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers (No reason in particular, I like the rotation and Nomar though and I really have no feelings either way on the other NL teams.)

    Washington's out of it, and I am oddly enough, cheering for both of the teams you are.

    I've always loved Oakland, and Frank Thomas makes that love even greater.

    Well since the Braves didn't make the playoffs, I am rooting for either the Tigers or the Twins just as long as the Yankess choke once again.

    On the NL side, I'm rooting for the Dodgers. Down with the Mets.

    AL= Twins (You can blame Steak for this one, but hell i cant ever root for the Yankees. The A's will always be hated by me, unless its the Yankees. The Tigers would be only because they are playing the Yankees)

    NL= Padres (Jake Peavy......nuff said)
    2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)

    Tigers all the way. Pudge needs some more WS hardware, and Kenny Rogers deserves a ring.

    If the Tigers don't make I'm going with the Twins.
    As a Ranger fan I have to root against the A's, I hate the Yankees, and really care nothing about any of the NL playoff teams.

    How about a Yankees-Cards WS matchup?

    World Series tied 3-3, game 7, Yankees lead 4-3 bottom of the 9th inning, Mariano Rivera facing Albert Pujols with 2 out and a runner at 2nd.
