As for the CY? Too close to call at this point for me. I'd choose Santana or Halladay, with the two rookie starting studs close.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
here are the contenders who I think are in the front row right now
Justin Verlander: 14 Wins, 2.79 ERA, 21 GS, 135.1 IP, 38 BB, 92 SO, 1.16 WHIP
Roy Halladay: 14 Wins, 3.23 ERA, 24 GS, 170.0 IP, 23 BB, 99 SO, 1.12 WHIP
Curt Schilling*: 14 Wins, 3.78 ERA, 24 GS, 159.1 IP, 20 BB, 142 SO, 1.14 WHIP
Johan Santana, 13 Wins, 3.24 ERA, 25 GS, 169.1 IP, 37 BB, 178 SO, 1.06 WHIP
*note Schilling is starting tonight, for now i left the stats from tonight out*

Verlander. Lower ERA, WHIP is almost about the same, more wins, and he's on a top winning team.
he's tied for 1st in winsOriginally Posted by Rufio181

He also has 35 less innings, and that decreases his seasonal value significantly for me

Compared to Johan. I think it's Verlander and Santana for the Cy Young right now.Originally Posted by Halladay_is_God

And Liriano's innings alone are the only reason he's not the runaway winner. Hell, Papelbon's innings (since he's an RP) etc.

I'm giving it to Santana unless Verlander just goes ballistic on AL asses in the final months. Regardless of innings, it would be HARD to deny a 20 game winner with a sub 3 era of the award.

I'll give it to Halladay if he finishes strong.

Randy Johnson. He's gunning for the Triple Crown.
