Check the other topic for results, some I did in my head, some not, if you want verification, ask, but no tiebreakers were used. I am prone to mistakes, so ask if you are unsure. PM preferably. These should be the brackets for the next round though. The contest is upcoming and ALL CONTESTS WILL BE FOR GAMES ON APRIL 23, 2006. No pairings turned out where both people said yes for trivia, so there will be nothing like that this round.
This is a multiple-game prediction contest.
Blackjack
For instance, suppose it was
1) Missionhockey21
2) Redsrbetter
Domain: Teams, Runs
Meaning, I want the players to choose the teams they believe will equal 21 runs, or get closest to it. They can pick 0 teams, 8 teams, 30 teams, whatever they want, but they want to get as close as they can to 21 runs. For instance
Mission: Reds, Red Sox, Mariners (9+3+5) = 17
Redsr: Reds, Red Sox, White Sox, Rangers = (9+3+1+5) = 18
Reds: 9 runs
Red Sox: 3 runs
Mariners: 5 runs
White Sox: 1 run
Rangers: 5 runs
In that scenario, Redsrbetter would win, since he was closer to 21 without going over. If you have any questions, please ask.
There are no duplicative picks allowed.
THE TIEBREAKER FOR THIS ROUND IS A TRIVIA QUESTION OR MULTIPLE QUESTIONS, SINCE I WANT TO BE AN ASS. Sometime tommorow afternoon, look around 4:00 PM on this thread, I will post 1 question, the first person from each pairing to PM me the CORRECT (or if a numerical question, CLOSEST TO CORRECT) answer wins. Every day, I will edit a hint in this post so someone will hopefully, eventually, get it. Second tiebreaker is the first person to submit a complete pick set.
The tiebreaker will be applied if BOTH players go over, so it is important. Also, I don't want any of the BS where someone wins the TB, then makes extremely similar picks to the other person. I will use my discretion, if I feel that, I will ask the 2nd person to change their picks.
Also, if you are mean and post the answer on this thread, even if it's wrong, the other person automatically gets the tiebreaker, you get one attempt per day to guess correctly, new hints should go up around 4:00 PM EST daily until each person has answered correctly
