    Dodgers Jason Schmidt Pitched?

    In his first spring start, Jason Schmidt surrendered three runs over two innings Monday in a win over the Rangers.
    Taylor Teagarden homered to account for all three runs. Schmidt allowed just one other hit and struck out two, so it wasn't such a bad outing. Manager Joe Torre indicated after the game that a rotation spot is Schmidt's to lose this spring.

    He's done. Once the pitching shoulder is wrecked, it's game over for a pitcher. Now, it's up to Claudio Vargas to get shelled every fifth game until Uncle Joe realizes that McDonald belongs in the rotation.
