Dodgers signed RHP Jeff Weaver to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Weaver lasted tasted major league success while with the Dodgers in 2005, going 14-11 with a 4.22 ERA. He was 4-6 with a 6.17 ERA for two Triple-A teams last season. Odds are that he'll open this year back in Triple-A.

Dodgers just signed Eric Milton to a MLC. It keeps getting better for the Dodgers.

I don't want Eric Milton anywhere within a 100-mile radius of Dodger Stadium, but I'm not worried. Unless he discovers the fountain of youth before Shawn Estes does, Milton won't make it past spring training.

RHP Jeff Weaver, recently promoted from the minors to serve in the Dodgers bullpen, will have a more familiar role Tuesday. The veteran will start for the Dodgers in place of RHP James McDonald, who has an 8.16 ERA through five games (four starts).
