I was listening to Tim Kurkchicken on espn radio, he said that Kemp didn't start playing baseball untill he was in HS, he was one of the best HS basketball players in that area. He chose baseball over basketball. Very interesting, he also said that Kemp is still learning the game of baseball as we speak.

I'd like to take this time to point out that Theo Epstein is an asshat for trying to get the Dodgers to trade him Kemp in exchange for David Wells back in 2006.
