KCAL 9's Gary Miller is reporting that the Dodgers and Andruw Jones have agreed to a two-year, $36 million contract.
MLB.com is also reporting it. Jones would get the same average annual salary as Torii Hunter, so in that sense, it's a victory for agent Scott Boras. He'd also go back on to the market at age 32, which hardly seems like a bad thing if he turns in a couple of productive years. Los Angeles may not the best place for him to pile up numbers, but if the Dodgers just had to move Juan Pierre out of center field, this was pretty much the ideal scenario for the team and player.
