Granted, Saito blew the save in the ninth, so Saito's as much to blame, but Tomko went on to give up the winning run to the opposing team yet again. Is it unreasonable for Tomko, in the unenviable position as the last pitcher in the bullpen, to hold the tie in the game?

Since both the Mets and Padres like to recycle former Dodgers, Tomko should be DFNYM (designated for new york mets) or DFSD.
