(I never liked that band) He likes it cuz he thinks it attracts chicks....well, let's see if that is true and how many chicks will magically appear here tonight.

Karaoke night
Saturday night around these parts means Karaoke. Yeah, that's right Karaoke. browntown has volunteered to host again and he's sure to do a bang up job.
With the Karaoke comes the homer award because as everyone knows, Karaoke is for homers.
This week’s homer award goes to Mark Grace, one-half of the broadcasting team for the AZ Diamondbacks. Most people know and love Grace as a Chicago Cub where he spent 13 seasons, and was traded away to the D'backs where he played for three more seasons for a total of 16 altogether. He has a lifetime BA of .303 and played his entire career at 1st base with the exception of one inning pitched for the D'backs where he gave up a HR and walked away with an ERA of 9.00. He also has one AB as a DH. Grace won 4 GG and 4 NL MVP awards. Not a bad career.
Apparently, Grace left Chicago under less than honorable conditions and in a heated exchange of words. That heat has carried over into his broadcasting career where he was recently caught cussing on the air when he thought the button was off. He dropped the F bomb three times…..
Recently, during a game with the NY Mets, Grace was heard heckling Pedro Martinez who had a no-hitter going into the 6th inning in an effort to jinx Pedro and the no-hitter. Apparently, Stephen A. Smith caught wind of this and let Grace have it in one of his broadcasts. When Grace heard about this he went ballistic, calling Smith a dope repeatedly on air and was heard to say, Stephen A. Smith can go kiss……, and then he stopped.
But, the highlight of Grace’s career was when he recently ran the Sausage race in Milwaukee as the Bratwurst. He teamed up with his son and they won the race. After the race, Grace attributed the win to bulking up on carbs……Miller Lite and hot dogs.
Mark Grace should have stayed on the field in some capacity. He is obviously better at actively participating in the game rather than in the booth. As most homers in the booth, Grace has a partner that constantly covers for his Gracisms and saves his ass.
Congrats to Mark Grace for being the homer of the week......
