Well, the Angels pulled it out in extras tonight.
Rex Hudler is the ultimate Angels' apologist BTW
Well, he was homer of the week on Karaoke night....but Porter99 says he has Rex the Wonder Dog beat X2 with Rick Rizzs for the M's.....

Saturday night means Karaoke and time to celebrate the homer of the week.
This weeks weiner is none other than David Justice. Not being a Yankee fan and seeing their games, I have no idea who Justice partners with. However, I heard enough of him during his tenure on ESPN, to know what a true homer he is. I am grateful he went to the Yanks and left the ESPN airwaves.
Drafted by Atlanta, Justice played 14 seasons in MLB. Most of those seasons were with ATL and Cleveland. He spent only 1.5 seasons in NY (it sure seems like he spent more there) and one season in Oakland. He played mostly OF, but played 69 games at 1B in ATL and DH'd a bunch. Justice played in ten post seasons and owns two WS rings. He has a lifetime BA of .279 with 305 career HR's, is a three time AS, was NL ROY in 1990, was AS MVP in 2000, five time league MVP winner with three in the NL and two in the AL, and received two SS awards. As MLB careers go, not a bad career. As an announcer he leaves lots to be desired.
Here is what one Yankees fan had to say about Dave and the crew.....
Yankees - Ok, we all know that the YES crew isn't that bad. The announcers are pretty good, there's some insight, and David Justice makes weird sexual jokes. However, consider that it takes about 5 men to do the job. That has to count for something, doesn't it? The Boss's generosity employs a caravan of, some may call them announcers, some may call them clowns - earlier this year, five men were broadcasting at different points during a game: Kay, Kaat, Singleton, Paulie, and Justice. All they needed was Tony Danza.

So David Justice here's to you.... a true homer....
Tonight is also Barry Bonds dartboard night. Images of the Bonds have been pasted on the boards for your throwing (up) pleasure. Many fans spent the week wondering, debating and drooling over the possibility of the great Bondini making his return engagement. He is truly living up to his reputation as the unprecidented King of Media Hype....

what? Dave Justice won 5 MVPs? I don't believe it...five time league MVP winner with three in the NL and two in the AL

He won 1 ALCS MVP if that counts, but never finished higher than 3rd in the MVP voting
I saw him win MVP in an old sim league once.

DOH....my bad I did a typo....I typed AS MVP in 2000 - he was ALCS MVP in 2000.
I found it difficult to believe that he won 5 MVP awards as well but here it is....straight from Baseball Reference.....

That says he finished 24th. 12th, 3rd, 5th and 13th, stoopid.
