Former Dodger Asst. GM NG to be interviewed.
If hired she would be the first, she has a pretty good resume.

I hope she gets serious consideration as she has definitely paid her dues.
It says in her bio with the Dodgers that she handled contract negotiations. I'm going to assume she won't be taking credit for the contracts of Jason Schmidt, Juan Pierre, Andruw Jones, and Manny Ramirez during the interview.
I smell a scandal......or just a simple coincidence. I don't think anything of this but thought it was interesting.According to DRaysBay, Rays executive vice president Andrew Friedman was seen dining Tuesday night in St. Petersburg with Angels owner Arte Moreno and team president John Carpino.
The nature of the meeting isn't yet known, but the timing is certainly interesting given that the Angels are in the midst of a search for a new general manager. Friedman, widely regarded for his success with the cost-conscious Rays, has served in his current role since November of 2005. Angels' manager of baseball information Tory Hernandez, former Dodgers assistant general manager Kim Ng, Damon Oppenheimer and Billy Eppler of the Yankees, Jerry Dipoto of the Diamondbacks and Rick Hahn of the White Sox are all reportedly under consideration for the Angels' GM job.
I don’t know it if is a “scandal”. The Astros and Cubs reportedly also wooed him. Friedman doesn’t work under a written “contract” so he is free to talk to anyone. I always thought it was more usual though for the team to fly the person of interest out to them to wine & dine on their own turf and give them the full tour so to speak.
The “source” for this is supposedly a few readers of the blog and a worker at the restaurant, so who knows? That particular blog touts how they have broken a few reports first but if you dig deeper they have been somewhat insignificant or less than "blockbuster".
Players and personnel in sports come and go nowadays, though this threesome relationship does have a friendship basis with Matt, Stu and Andrew.
If Andrew does go perhaps the Rays would be the ones to break the gender barrier at the GM position.
I will admit a Friedman/Scioscia combo would be pretty cool to see just as Freidman/Maddon was.
No suprise here......the official words from Friedman when asked by local media......"No comment."
If Friedman plays it smart, he should wait for McCourt to be removed hopefully soon and the new owner to dump Colletti. As bad as what Colletti will be leaving behind appears, Kemp and Kershaw is a pretty good start to build your team on, plus there's no Vernon Wells contract.
If he plays it smart, he should stay with the Rays.
Maybe. But I can't overlook the parallels with Billy Beane being stuck on a franchise that is in limbo without a new ballpark to remain competitive.
Andrew Friedman may be unwilling to leave Tampa Bay for Angels
This piece in the LA Times, which mentions the "friendship" partnership quality as I did in my post. However, the Angels appear to have "pulled a Theo" and are offering Andrew the promotion to President to sweeten the deal.
They have interviewed a few for the GM job with more coming this week and hope to have a decision by next week.
Angels hire new GM.
Look slike the Angels have got their man.
