    WOOOOOWWWW

swisher swings at the first pitch... after fuentes walks matsui, and hits cano.... and grounds to figgins, who steps on 3rd. but thankfully, the ball was ruled foul, 2nd life for swisher.

I must be alone when I say I do not agree with walking A-Rod and bringing the go-ahead run to the plate.

Good comeback after blowing a decent lead there. I was able to catch the last 3 runs the Angels scored. Game 6 it is.

Sorry I wasn't around for the game thread last night. I was mostly following it via Gameday and radio broadcast. But I am glad to read everyone's thoughts about the game last night.

I'll be honest, I have no dogs in this race. I did say I liked the Angels to many coworkers so for my own ego, it would be cool to see them advance, but that aside I just want to watch baseball. I was pulling for a game six so we wouldn't have to endure that huge gap of offtime until the World Series is set to start. So speaking as just a baseball fan, thank god the Angels came back to force a game six.

Last night was a bit of a rollercoaster. Angels came out hot and put up a big number in the first inning and then Lackey seemed to be cruising... until the seventh, but he still had a solid game. The Yankee machine looked to be in full out search and destroy mode, but then the Angels started doing what they are good at and that is just chipping away with consistent play. Add in a great relief effort by Jered Weaver and Fuentes escaping trouble SOMEHOW, and it was a great game 5.
