This guy was special for a moment. Then he sort of fell off the map. Yet I was secretly hoping the Reds would take a look. But he stays in Missouri.
Power on the decline, contact on the decline, and plate discipline even further gone... good signing. It's not the worst gamble to sign him and hope that his mechanics are just a little out of whack and that he could return to plus .250 BA and decent power, but it seems a bit steep of a price given his production last season. Its not like he has a lengthy track record of successful everyday batting on his resume...
