    MLB.com: Lima will open for the Royals in opening day game

    DETROIT -- Who better to get the Royals revved up than Jose Lima? He's sure to roar into his Opening Day start at Motor City with his foot on the floor and his V-8 at full bore.

    The chattering, effervescent and doggedly determined showman loves center stage. That's exactly what he'll get Monday afternoon against the Detroit Tigers.
    Lima has turned his career around in KC. I think he's made himself back into a decent pitcher.
