The Royals beat the tigers??? What????? I thought that the Royals weren't supposed to beat anybody this year, and that the tigers were going score like a bajillion runs....weird.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
It's just 1 game lollllll
true, but that could be the game the tigers needed to win the division right there!!! lololololol

Great start for a team headed in the right direction. How about Alex Gordon starting things off much better than last year with a big home run? Meche worked his way into and out of some jams against the best hitting team in baseball. Great way to start the season off for KC.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
KC is going to be a little better than people give them credit for. They are getting a little better each year.
And oh yeah, 1 game down, 161 to go!!! I dont think Royals' fans are ordering playoff tickets just yet. And I know the Tigers are NOT going to pack it in just yet..
The Tigers did score runs but it was the bullpen that let them down. Gordon had a great game hitting the two run bomb and taking away the tying run to end the game. Grudz had a good game too going 3-4. Cabrera hitting a bomb in his debut was exciting to see.
I agree, the Royals aren't headed for the playoffs just yet, but give then a few years. I think they'll really become a presence in the AL central. As for the Tigers, well you said it all their bullpen let them down. They're really gonna miss Rodney and Zumaya. Todd Jones is really the only name you recognize out of that mess of a bullpen.
Where's Killah Sith to celebrate?

The Royals only faced 28 batters, one above the minimum. They gave up 3 hits (all to Renteria), but two of those were soon followed by double-plays. Royals 2-0 and going for the sweep tomorrow! Greinke vs Bonderman, it's gonna happen!
162-0 believe it.
Meche-Bannister is an underrated 1-2 punch. Can't believe the Mets gave up Bannister for Burgos! The again I can't believe the Royals traded Dotel for lousy Davies.
Brian Bannister pitched a hell of a game and he could be a real sleeper this season. I still however don't think the Royals are going to run away and hide with the central division , but at least they are getting some quality players to there team.
It is nice to see the Royals get off to a good start this season. I think they are going to be better than most people think. I do agree they are not ready to compete with the big boys just yet though.
Also, did anyone see Trey Hillman on Opening Day? He did not look like a guy to be ****ed with! He looks like a hardass but players like him and his philosophy. He was giving the umps a mouthful with Meche pitching.
