Nah, he didn't use steroids. And the way the Stros are treating him is awful.

What brought up roids?
Just the talk I've heard in the media.

There's no evidence that Bagwell ever used steroids.
Every large player who gets hurt is on steroids now. Every large player who stay healthy is on steroids now.
Seems like thats the claim, eh?

He should def retire...
and the reason people think he used roids is cuz he was on teams with Ken Caminiti...
I feel bad for Jeff. His only team ever (majors) is trying to claim a lot of his money on insurance, he's trying to comeback with an owner who he's had a falling out with, and one of the great first basemen is now getting steroid claims when it may just be age.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
It's not even his age. It's his shoulder. He just can't swing the bat anymore.
His shoulder is simply ****ed up.
Can he even pull off a 3-6-3 double play anymore?

Astros have every right to claim that insurance money. I hope Bags can come back but it just doesn't look like its gonna happen. I think they will be better off with Bags out so they can Berkman at first and Wilson, Taveras and Lane in the OF.
Its not looking good and I stick by what I said in the previous post.In his second start at first base, Jeff Bagwell was removed after just two innings Tuesday night due to shoulder soreness.
"I was just sore," he said. "From playing four innings the other day, it's just like a deep sore right now. And there's just no sense in me going in there and keep throwing. It doesn't do anybody any good." Not even Drayton McClane? Bagwell didn't say what his next steop would be. He's probably still OK to DH, though there's a good chance he'll get at least Wednesday off.
