Sucks for the Nationals not getting Loaiza back and a good number 5 guy for the A's. As for Wagner, the Mets are well on their way to getting a possible NL East title. They got Beltran, Delgado, Wright and Floyd for the offense and have a decent rotation. It will be interesting to see who will be catching for them next year, Bengie or Ramon? They need some more pieces to the bullpen and another starter.
As long as it's the Loaiza of last year, or the Loaiza of the first year with the white sox and not the Loaiza of any other year. Especially the one where he was with the Yankees for half a season.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

you don't want the Loaiza that was on the Jays either

the Loaiza with Texas got the Rangers Michael Young
Our rotation was full:
Zito
Harden
Haren
Blanton
Saarloos
(Kennedy, too)
All won at least 10 games (except Kennedy). The Loaiza signing means someone is getting traded because we have 7 starters now. Harden and Haren aren't going anywhere as we signed them through their arbitration years. Blanton is under our control, but we didn't sign him to a 5 year deal like Harden and Haren. Zito is a FA at the end of 2006, so it looks like Zito or Blanton are on the move...

Kennedy should be traded as well.
either 2 will be traded or someone will be long relief. I'm pretty sure Kennedy wants to start, so if he isn't the #5, then he'll be moved. Saarloos is the #5 unless he gets moved, too. He was the best #5 last year as he did get 10 wins; not bad for a #5.
Loaiza's pretty expensive from what I saw on other boards, but he surrounded a bad year with a couple pretty sweet ones and Oakland should be good for him.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Oakland is a pitcher's park. Loaiza is a fly ball pitcher and the extra foul territory will be good for him.
