I would hate to loose d'Arnaud, and would really hate to loose him if they can't get an extension done. At the moment, I see it as a bit of an overpay.

its worth it for the blue jays to pull this off. theyre already probably the favorites in the al east, this puts them over the top, with 2 legit aces and another guy who is close [morrow]. buehrle will eat innings, if romero bounces back to what he was... thats a nasty 5 deep, with a good pen, and the best lineup in the division easy.

Report: Jays have agreement in principle for Mets' Dickey

The deal remains contingent on the Jays' ability to sign Dickey to an extension within a 72-hour negotiating window which expires Tuesday at 2pm et.

So basically the next two days are pretty big.
Glad the deal worked out this way to allow the Jays a chance to work out an extension. But still, I am skeptical.

I really like the trade from the Mets' point of view. D'Arnaud and Syndergaard should be very good if the Mets are patient enough to let them develop completely.
