Holliday-Jay-Beltran is solid, and should provide a lot of the offense with Craig in tow as the 4th OF/1B split. Should be a solid lineup if Berkman has a repeat 2011 effort.
I find it funny that Pujols is still on the depth chart on espn.com. STL is in denial.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Oh, actually, Albert is also "all time quarterback" at the giants/jets game this weekend, then later he's taking his talents to southbeach
Thank God, they'll finally have a Big Three in Miami.

Great deal for the Cardinals! They get a switch hitter to hit atop the lineup and will help replace Pujols offensively. I see Beltran getting more time in CF this year with an OF of Holliday, Jay, Beltran, Craig and Schumaker. A lineup of Furcal, Beltran, Berkman, Holliday, Freese, Molina, Jay and Descalso is a damn good lineup featuring three switch hitters at the front leading the charge. The defending champs are looking good for 2012!
Nice. Beltran signed for just $4 million more than what Aubrey Huff got from the Giants last year, and the Giants gave up Zack Wheeler to rent Beltran for 2 months. I'm glad Brian Sabean is still their GM, even if he does have a ring to back his contract extension.
Its a decent sized contract for a player who is pretty injury prone.... however, Beltran played some pretty good baseball last year. In St. Louis and the NL Central, I think he'll put up some nice numbers if he can stay healthy for 120+ games. I was hoping for the Reds to make a splash on him, hopefully his homers won't be making a splash in the Ohio river this summer.

I don't think one major knee surgery makes a player injury prone.
