Sorry but this one had the most posts so I chose to post in this one.

Good move from both sides of this one. Braves get back a damn good young first baseman in Kotchman and a top prospect in Marek. Angels were the best team in baseball before the trade and are now favorites to win the World Series. Teixeira is that type of impact player. He brings GG defense, hits from both sides and returns to the AL West. Braves had to get something good since they gave up a lot to get Teixeira in the first place. DBacks dropped the ball on this one.

Something tells me Arizona could be giving a hard look at Manny... The Theo-Byrnes relationship is good enough where such a deal could happen, Manny too will be a class A FA and he'd give AZ the power bat they need without having to give up tracy/cjax

They do have a great relationship but I don't think too many NL GMs want Manny in their outfield. That said, the Dbacks will probably look at someone like Dunn who isn't any better in the field. Don't see what the Sox would want that the Backs are ready to give up.

I think you're safe on Teixeira not making the game tonight. He will be there tomorrow though

Great trade for the Angels and Braves IMO.

And I almost think that Tex may be in LA for a good period of time. He may be a perfect fit for the Angels now, and allow the team to build up upon him for the future if they could get him on board for a good deal.

Can't say I'm surprised the Braves traded him. At least Tex is going to a good team that has a great chance to get to the WS.
