I heard a rumor somewhere that the dodgers had already entered prior to the Yanks, and that they had offered a package involving Kemp, Broxton, and possibly Martin too. Rumor says the Indians want Hughes, Cano, Cervelli, and two other prospects.
Dodgers would be stupid if they traded Martin.
I'm still not sold on the Indians actually trading him. They aren't so far out of contention that they can't get back into the race. The Tribe is only 6 1/2 games back.
However, if the Indians can trade him for a few solid MLB players and a prospect or two that are supposed to become solid MLB players, I wouldn't oppose the trade of Sabathia since I don't see us signing him to a long-term deal.

"possibly" Martin? Despite our management's incompetence there's no way in Blue Hell that they actually called the Indians and told them, "We'll give you Kemp and Broxton...and possibly Martin." That's just unbelievably shitty negotiating. And I mean unbelievably, because I believe the rumor is a crock of shit.
Yeah, they totally left out Juan Pierre or Jason Schmidt in the deal. Damn, what were they thinking.
