I feel like this is a prelude to the Angels getting another Cabrera for the left side of their IF. If so, like the deal for both teams.

I don't get this move whatsoever. The White Sox just resigned Uribe and Cabrera is worth more than just Garland. Maybe the Angels are making room for another Cabrera.

The other Cabrera plays 3B. There would still have been plenty of room.
And they think they help their pitching by getting Garland, yet getting rid of Cabrera, a gold glover, only hurts it. That, and the fact that Garland stinks.

The Angels should be fine at SS. They have Wood, Aybar and Rodriguez ready to step up to the big league level. I see Garland doing better this season than last year, as he will be on a team that can play defense and will be "happy". I don't think he was happy last year in Chicago, as his team did not seem to really care to play behind him, or anyone else for that matter.
