LinkThe recent acquisitions of No. 5 hitter Michael Barrett and potential No. 3 hitter Milton Bradley doesn't preclude the Padres from acquiring another hitter, Padres CEO Sandy Alderson said, but Alderson isn't painting a golden picture. "There are very few big bats that are available," Alderson said. "There are even fewer big bats playing out there who can provide the kind of defense we need to make our pitching successful." In other words, Reds left fielder Adam Dunn might not be a good fit.
Sounds like they are not too interested in another big bat but would welcome an opportunity if afforded one. Knowing Krivsky, the Reds will not be shelling out Dunn for nothing. I see this as not being a fit whatsoever.
