A source told MLB.com that the Mets have acquired Shawn Green from the Diamondbacks for a minor leaguer.
Green reportedly has agreed to waive his no-trade clause. The deal still needs the commissioner's approval, probably because the Diamondbacks are including cash to cover a portion of Green's contract. Since Green will take over as the Mets' primary right fielder, it's possible that Lastings Milledge will head to Triple-A and remain there until the end of Norfolk's season. The Diamondbacks will play Carlos Quentin regularly in right, making him a fine pickup in mixed leagues.
