Thread: Which arm would you rather have at the deadline?

Well Bosox, if you remember correctly, the Red Sox moved him, along with the NL batting leader at the moment, Freddy Sanchez to acquire Jeff Suppan. I know, i know, it was all potential at the time, but dont you just hate that trade?? Anyhow, my opinion of this is, Mike Gonzalez. I don't think the Pirates are going to move him. But as stated above, he's young, nasty stuff, throws hard, and is a lefty. Even if he isnt closing games, he'd look real nice in someone's bullpen.

If someone slipped up and offered them a can't miss prospect, Pitt would pull the trigger. If, though.

that Gonzalez is a lefty too, man. I am really dreaming now!!!! Gonzalez, COordero, Turnbow. That sounds like your Nasty Boys in Cincy in the early 90's...

    Don't remind me...
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett
