Royals acquired LHP Jorge De La Rosa from the Brewers for infielder Tony Graffanino.
De La Rosa, who had been on the DL with a finger blister, just threw five innings in the minors yesterday, so the Royals still might want to call up a reliever to replace Elmer Dessens tomorrow. Since De La Rosa is out of options, he will have to be added to the roster later this week. The Royals figure to put him in middle relief for now, but a rotation spot could be a possibility later on. With a very good fastball for a left-hander, he's worth taking a chance on. Still, the possibility exists that he'll never amount to much. Subpar command has held him back so far. Jul. 25 - 8:55 pm et
