Or you can take your head out of your ass and realize this is something that happens in real life. It was 1 fucking player for 1 season. Which he was on the block for the entire time. There has been other teams who have done it with many players at similar points in development with just as good, if not better players.
Profar was treated similarly in real life for multiple seasons.
If i had 5 guys down there who were going to make a difference that were nearly 100% developed, sure, bitch some more. In the 2 big sports with legit developmental systems in MLB and NHL, this happens a ton. Why rush 1 guy up to be on a bad team and possibly ruin him by doing so, when it will make 0 difference on the season?
For the sake of it being OOTP, yes i have probably 4 other guys who are rated high enough to make the roster because my roster sucks. But they are only maybe 70 or 80% developed. Guess what happens of i bring them up? Their chances of taking a development hit goes up. Sure there are plenty of cases where maybe they develop faster, but that gamble makes 0 sense for a rebuilding team to make. Especially when trying to protect his trade value.
Am I doing the smart thing game wise? Yes.
Am I doing something that happens in real life? Yes.
If you want to bitch, cry that the league isn't active enough, or that the disparity meant that I didn't have the suitors to trade him sooner.
