The problem with 15 is, IMO, there's entirely too many players in the database, especially if we start out with less teams than there currently are in MLB. This means that it would have to be a fictional league if you're going to use 15. That's too much like Porter's league for my taste.

I've been the biggest proponent of using OOTP 15, but I think I would rather have another 6.5 league.

Like, with real world rosters? Or just not having any manually created players?

I am ok with fictional, doesn't have to be MLB, I just really was referring to... I think some leagues started with MLB rosters from.... 2003 or something? Better stated is simply, a 6.5 league.

Well, that would be AWESOME, but not a necessity. I'd even like a 6.5 league that starts with any set of rosters in the past 15 years.

No, but I'm wanting/willing to start a new league with 6.5. I've ran one before and I want to do one again. I'm planning on being here for a good long while now and I've got a lot of time on my hands right now to set up a new league. It might take me a while if we start at 2014. I can find one for 2007, possibly even 2008, but if you all want me to, I can start working on a 2014 roster set. It won't have their career stats, though, because I can't find a Lahman's database for 6.5 that's newer than 2005.

Then I'm declaring, right now, that I'm starting a 6.5 sim league with real rosters. I'm going to start working on the rosters immediately. My goal is to get as close to 2014 as possible and create from there.
