Hammer is free to skip (since his time on the schedule is up), the first pick of the next day is not (because skipped picks are made at the end of the night.)
Doesn't matter, though, since Armstead isn't high on my big board.

Well, yeah, at the end of the day it is all just opinion, but you really don't believe there's value in scouting yourself?
I didn't say there wasn't value in scouting for myself, but he's assuming jalex didn't do so because his opinion didn't coincide with his own and made his opinion sound like fact that any fool should know.
Jalex didn't say he formed his opinion from a top 100 list. Irish just assumed he did because jalex had an opinion that differed from his own.

Just curious on opinions on Danny Shelton in real life. is 7th too high? (99% chance fowler wouldn't be there in real life) Do you guys truly see him as a plug in 8 or 9 year NT and if so would a team in need be dumb to pass on him? Or does he have any bust risk?
For a 3-4 team, I think he's absolutely worth a Top 10 pick. There's bust potential in anybody that big, but I think he's a plug and play nose that should be good for 500-600 snaps as the head of a rotation. (I only have 3 guys in this draft listed as pure nose tackles, so it's kinda hard to argue the value.)
4-3 teams, the natural comparison is Pat Williams (big run stuffer than provides a little pass rush every once in a while), and I think that's more second round range. But the versatility is good enough to keep him high on my big board.

For my real bears and all their OLB conversion projects, what better way to help than stick the big man in the middle and tie up an extra man. Lot of pressure for a rook but makes other 10 players better instantly.
