If Danny Shelton was available at 10. I would have a hard time picking between Waynes and Shelton.

I think my favorite position in the draft this year is CB because literally everybody ranks them differently.
I'm still trying to figure out how Washington's defense was so poor with Thompson, Shelton AND Kikaha?

As a student at Oklahoma State University, I thought we were going to get run out of the Cactus Bowl.
If you want to put in the extra leg work for this that's perfectly understandable. Lord knows I spend more time than I probably should in MSL and other simulation based leagues. I was just clarifying my personal approach as an aside in the next post.
I wasn't really calling you out for that so much as I was calling you out for just assuming another person did nothing more than look at a top 100 list just because they didn't share the same opinion as you about a particular player and basically giving off the vibe that if someone doesn't agree with you on the comparison of these two players then they're obviously not paying much attention.
Sports drafts are not an exact science, not even for those that are paid to do it. If it were you would never see guys like Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russell drafted in round 1....or at all really. And Tom Brady wouldn't have lasted to round 6.

As a Huskies Fan, it's been a frustrating thing for lack of better words.

Sorry, we will agree to disagree once again...I agree that Flowers worst trait is pass protection...BUT, it is still above that of almost every other tackle in the draft. Peat is the best pass protector in the draft and Flowers follows him, imho...He is however much better in the running game than others in the draft. He is versatile as well having played both right and left tackle at Miami. Versatility is absolutely a nice thing to have, but watching Scherff play so inconsistently gives me pause to taking him very high, given other talent I have rated higher than him at other positions.A versatile guy who can play both inside and out at a high level is worth a lot more to teams than a guy like Flowers who plays 1 position and his worst trait is pass protection.
As for Green-Beckham...I think he is the most talented wide receiver in this draft, including White and Cooper (and I love both of these guys). His control of his body at his size along with his speed is extraordinary. That type of player doesn't come along very often. All that said, I wouldn't touch him in the first round, same with Gregory...I have witnessed first hand the ramifications of having a top talent on a team and not being able to use him because of poor decisions off field...Josh Gordon could be the most talented WR in the NFL, but no one will ever know because he makes bad decisions...Even if he stays out of legal trouble and/or team rules, I worry about his ethic in regards to the time he will need to spend to become a professional.
LOVE Danny Shelton, he would have been my pick at 12 if available. The kid takes up space like none have since Haloti Gnata came out of college. He is an under valued player imho, because he doesn't get the sweet stats that others get, but he can be the MVP of a run stopping team at the next level. The kid is so strong, he is almost unstoppable at the college level without a double team on him. I think he is athletic enough to move around on the line, or simply put him at the 0 and have him take up two blockers on every play. He can be valuable as a 3 down player to open lanes in pass rush...I don't think there is a pick "too high" for Shelton. The league seems to be valuing players less at the top of the draft at certain positions, much like I was talking about earlier with Scherff. But personally, I think Shelton is on par, possibly better, than Leonard Williams at their respective positions...They are lumped together as DTs, but they play two totally different positions. Shelton has a chance to really be special, imho.
Totally agree with that, usually when a NT doesn't translate to the NFL it's because he's just so used to using weight to overwhelm smaller opponents that he doesn't build the necessary strength and explosion in his legs. But you look at Shelton's combine numbers in the vert jump and broad jump and you know there's no doubting his strength.
I'm not doing it for this exercise, I do it year round...It's a hobby watching game film on players. I narrow it down to watching extra film on players I think might fit the Browns, but I watch film regardless year round just for fun.If you want to put in the extra leg work for this that's perfectly understandable. Lord knows I spend more time than I probably should in MSL and other simulation based leagues. I was just clarifying my personal approach as an aside in the next post.
I do these exercises when I can find them, because I have a regular job, but have always wanted to work in football. It just passes time after my kids go to bed at night. I am also in sales and have extra time during the day sometimes to watch here and there.
My comment may have come off a bit arrogant, and I apologize for that. But, I took offense to more than one calling out my pick based on what I have seen on film. Many people come on to these things and look at a list to make their picks..which is fine, I don't take issue with that at all..until I am called out on something. At that point it raises a conversation, which I love talking about. Honestly, I didn't think the simple comment would raise many eyebrows... I simply called him out, hoping to get a more in depth reason to "why" he made the comment in the first place. I still haven't heard anyone explain why they feel Scherff is a better prospect than Flowers at tackle...I am assuming because it sparked their interest to actually watch game film and they realize he isn't, but what ever...moving on now..
Even though we like the young corners on the roster, we believe Marcus Peters has a chance to blow them out of the water and if he keeps his head straight, will prove to be one of the best corners from this draft. As such, we are hiring Tim Tebow to be his life coach.

Oh yeah, I have Cincy's list. I'm holding the pick though until 3:40, because I don't know if he wanted it posted right away or not.
This is something you need to list with your bulletins, kids. Please.
