Another reminder: Your team page must be up before you make trades or cuts.
Transactions open at midnight EST. (And yes, the draft order is done. It'll be moved over shortly.)
Understood, makes sense. Since this is a 1-year exercise, a player could restructure everyone to the maximum without any regard to future consequences. That's going to make things a little more difficult, but some teams are worse off than me (ahem..Saints...cough cough) so I can deal with it.
You don't have to use the real restructures if you don't want to, though. Some players' contracts do get worse, so we leave the choice up to you.
Just a few quick questions:
(1) Is there any rough estimate of what draft pick salaries will be? I just want to have some idea of how much cap space I'll need.
(2) We cannot offer current free agents on our teams contracts until they're nominated in the free agency period, correct? I just wanted to make sure we didn't have some priority over other teams to re-sign them.
(3) I can cut a player originally on my team at any time during the offseason and only the dead money charge will hit the cap, correct?
Thanks!
1. Last year's would be a good starting point for draft pick prices.
2. Correct. Unless you tag someone, they're fair game when FA starts.
3. Yup.
1. this is even better as this is where they'll come from Draft - Over the Cap
