It took me a while to calculate but I got it done.

How can I get rid of my images on my post? Listed under "attached thumbnails"

I'd explain it, but it's a more difficult concept than the cap, so I just did it.

Edit your post and scroll down a bit, you should see something that says manage attachments. A window will pop up, click on the top right corner of the image, an "X" should appear where you can remove it.
