Obviously, Wily Mo Pena's fantasy value just got ruined.

But still... project his stats this season.

What's his fantasy outlook now? Essentially just a nice bench player to have if you have room? Would it be viable to keep him as a platoon-util with some other similarly potential-laden players (let's say... oh... Edwin Encarnacion, Wily Mo Pena, and Jonny Gomes splitting the util spot).

I have him in a *lot* of leagues and I am very very worried because Krivsky is a homosexual and ruined all value he had.

How much of that do you think will come in the first half?

i.e.: will enough of that come in the first half to hold on to him over, say, Brad Wilkerson or David Dellucci

I think Wilkerson's good for .250 and 20 hr with maybe 60 rbi and maybe 80-85 runs, Dellucci for around 25 hr and 70 rbi and same BA. I hear the Rangers might have Wilky as their leadoff hitter (to be followed by Michael Young and Mark Teixeira, orgasm!) It could also be Dellucci leading off though, but Wilkerson is streaky, imo, that spot should be switched around a lot during the season.

I'd say Dellucci > Wilkerson > Pena right now

Wilkerson is the scheduled lead-off hitter right now for anyone interested.

    Thanks for the help, DK.

    Here are some interesting numbers:

Dellucci was .245, 23 hr, 51 rbi in 96 games leading off last year
He was .340 (!!!!), 6 hr, 14 rbi in 32 games (exactly 3 times less) when hitting 5th/6th/7th/8th/9th

Probably the right move to have Dell computers hitting low in the lineup

He can still be a sleeper of sorts, even after the trade. A bee could sting Nixon and put him on the 60 day DL, because that's Nixon's luck. He could always get tiem at DH if they play Ortiz in the field. Hell, maybe he should convert to a 1B so Ortiz never has to play the field.

Word, and besides, Boston's playing JT Snow at first base right? haha. Snow will be on the bench within a few weeks and Nixon will be playing 1B in no time.

Ortiz doesn't play the field as is, Zito.

The Sox are going with a Youkilis/Snow platoon at first. You see, both of them suck at offense, but Youkilis can draw a walk, and Snow can play defense.

I think moving Pena or Nixon to first would be the right move, especially if they're going to be having someone who sucks at defense (Youkilis) there anyway.

Ah, see, I totally forgot about Snow. I have a hard time thinking who the hell plays in Boston anymore as is. I see yahoo has lowell listed as a 2B, which further confused me as to what they're throwing out to play at 2B/3B

Mike Lowell got 9 games at 2B last year, just enough to qualify him there for fantasy.

PS: if you have mike Lowell as your 2B in a fantasy league, give up.

    I went with Vidro.
Then cut Freel after someone cut Weeks, and signed Weeks.

    Edit-
which means I took your advice on Vidro
