definatly jeter , better all around player
I'll go with Jeter too, better offense, more talent.
If Nomar can stay healthy, Wrigley and he could be a nice combo...
I'll take Nomar thank you very much.
A healthy Nomar anyways, is probably the best SS int he league now that ARod is a 3B.
a healthy Nomar is a batting title threat, plus 30 + HRs and 100 RBIs.
Nobody lookin out for nobody
Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody
Instead of being somebody that makes the news
So everybody can tweet about it
And then they start to R.I.P. about it
And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it.
What I am truly asking, is I have Jeter on my team now, and have been offered Garciaparra in reyurn. I really don't think I could lose either way. Here is my lineup
C Johnny Estrada
Mike Lieberthal
1b Derek Lee
Jeff Bagwell
2b Chase Utley
Tony Womack
SS Jeter
3b ARod
Casey Blake
OF Adam Dunn
Austin Kearns
Coco Crisp
Jim Edmonds
Larry Walker
Wily Mo Pena
I would keep Jeter if I were you...he'll score a lot with that Yankee lineup, drive in runs, hit homers and steal bases...more of a sure bet than Nomar IMO.
Thanks for the input, and I tend to agree with you. Something was just telling me that Nomar is primed for a huge season in Chicago. I heard reports that he was in tremendous shape this spring and had re-dedicated himself after last years performance. I even saw a few sports reporters pick him for NL MVP. Then I saw where 2 or 3 years ago he stole close to 20 bases....so that is what made the little pebbles in my mind start to roll around.Originally Posted by browntown653

I'm with you, I have a good feeling that NOmar is due for a big season. It's the decisions of fantasy baseball.
If I were you, I'd do the trade. Both are great SS's.
you aren't the guy that offered the trade are you?Originally Posted by GoYankees
No. I don't think I'm in a league with you.
I'd do it too. Nomar is also in a contract year if that means anything to you. He might struggle early on in Wrigley dealing with the colder weather (although how cold is in Boston during the early months?) but once it gets warm he should be outstanding.

It gets pretty cold in Boston, so he should know how to deal with colder weather. That should be no problemo for Nomar.
Did you keep Jeter?
