Who would you take first in next year's draft: Ryan Braun or Miguel Cabrera? The two 3Bs to have gone before them are Alex Rodriguez and David Wright.

Sophomore slump = Cabrera
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
It's an interesting situation. Miggy has put on a bit of weight, had a great season still, but is on pace to hit for a considerable less amount of XBH (homeruns are up a bit), his batting average is down and he is walking less. Braun on the other hand an OPS very dependent on his slugging percentage and not the greatest plate discipline. Braun will still respectable amount of bases.
Going off of a gut feeling with a thought similar to brown's.... I think Cabrera slumped a bit this year but his development is ahead of Braun and he is the more complete hitter. That isn't to say Braun might not outproduce him consistently (he is right now for the AB's) but pitchers are going to have a chance to readjust to Braun as the scouting report builds. It could really go either way, but I like Cabrera 'bouncing back' (I am using the term loosely of course.)

I'd choose Cabrera but I damn sure wouldn't like it.
That dude's turning into the fattest **** in the bigs very quickly, and he doesn't have the work ethic to fix it.

Maybe it's just him being discontent with still being in Florida that's pushing him towards the 300 pound range.
But I'm betting he's just a fat douche who's gonna get paid and then give up on keeping in shape. He doesn't seem to be the type who even gives the slightest ****.
