Mac Suzuki signed with an MLB team right at 18 when he first could, one of the only examples I can think of whjo did that.

My prediction was pretty optimistic for a guy coming from JAPAN to the AMERICAN LEAGUE. That's equal to the jump from Single A to the majors in most cases.

Japan is more AAAA then single A.

It's lower than an AAAA-type deal for sure - 95% of Japanese league players couldn't stay on an MLB roster, where most AAAA guys probably could.

Yeah, Daisuke will go too early in most leagues and even my optimism still sees him at a mid-teens win guy with a mid-3's ERA.

Like I said, we will see in the spring, won't we? As was said, he will likely go too early in many drafts. As one with Santana in a keeper league (and the other guys mentioned also being kept), I suppose he will be one of the first players drafted when we have our draft.

Well maybe it will take him sometime to adjust like hideki matsui in his first year everyone was killing him cause he was not the power hiter as promised but it looks like matsui is turning into a pretty good power hitter look at his stats this year especialy with the time he missed for injury
